Job Description:


This is a temp role for 22.5 hours, 3 days per week, 6 months fixed term.

Objective

This position will provide documentation support and control for gas turbine new product and repair technical literature. The individual will play an integral role in maintaining the creation and quality control of technical documents for internal and Customer projects.

Areas of responsibility

  • Management and Maintenance of the Procedure and Technical Drawings master copies.
  • Creation of Documents & Illustrations, including:
     
    • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
    • Wiring schematics
    • Drawing amendments and change forms
    • Illustrated Parts Catalogues for new and existing Turbine Efficiency product
    • Compile Repair Criteria design and specification sheets
    • Organising and Maintaining the above Engineering Technical documents.
  • Make amendments to Engineering procedures and Drawings under the guidance of Engineering team members.
  • Work in an environment, which is technical, commercial and customer orientated being responsible to support key stakeholders, including Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and Repairs Engineers. 
  • Ensure the ‘correctness’ of issued documentation and maintain technical documented change forms.
  • Additional administrative roles within Turbine Efficiency Engineering Dept.

Qualifications
  • 5 x GCSE’s (inc English & Maths)

  • Knowledge of document creation in terms of grammar, punctuation and spelling

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
E  
 
  • Minimum of 2 years experience using Auto CAD, 2D CAD and Solidworks, essential in this role to create sketches for component repair illustrations.

  • Conversant in technical engineering drawings
